Indiana Jones?

wtf - princess bride
I just watched the new Indy - Crystal Skull - at a friend's house. Um...what the heck was THAT all about? I think some screenwriter spent a leeetle too much time reading Erich von Daniken. I wonder if there was a spike in sales of Chariots of the Gods after this summer. My old archaeology teacher probably left the theater with tears streaming down his face from laughing so hard. Von Daniken was a frequent butt of jokes in his classes :)

Sigh.

It was fun to see Karen Allen again, and I love the potential for taking the franchise into future decades through Henry Jones III, but...

Ugh.

So glad I didn't waste a penny on that movie. More Nazis, less aliens, kthxbai.

I think the franchise should end here, honestly. Indy is a creature of the '30s. Sticking him in the '50s is just wrong. Adding aliens is even worse. And those skull-dudes at the first burial chamber/burrow they went to? WTF? They just jumped out liked bad-guy cannon fodder from a video game. Blah.

Although, like yourself, I was pleased to see Marion again.

Shea LaBoeuf, though? Not so much.

Try the Misty advice
"If you're wondering how he eats and breathes, and other science facts
Repeat to yourself 'it's just a show - I should really just relax'"

...NONE of them ever made any sense. We were just young enough then that we bought it :)

the alien bit was all Lucus's part. In order to keep him happy Speilburg let him have some alien stuff in it. Although they thought it was tasteful. Hmm.. think again.

Shea LaBoeuf is a good actor and maybe there is a future for him to carrying on daddy's name.

Personally I love the Indianna Jones movies. And to have the collection complete I bought the last one.

Funny my dh and I just watched this movie tonight :)
