Posting some goals for the week to keep myself honest :)

1. Make outline sheet for '05 NaNo
2. Put in at least 10 hours on extracurricular work project
3. Finish first TBR challenge book of the year

There. That oughta keep me busy.

2008's off to a decent start. I'm bound and determined to recoup my running fitness from this past fall (well underway) and to make it to -at least-the Spring Cross Country Classic injury-free and ready to run. Not sure about racing yet, but it's sure an appealing thought.
My weight is still (grumble grumble) up from where it should be, but so long as the fitness is coming around, I don't mind so much. January 19th is the big Day of Reckoning. I started seriously tracking my weight on that day last year w/ a rough goal of losing 2 pounds per month. I'm a bit off that, but still quite pleased with the progress. Update on that on Saturday :)
After the big site changeover at coolrunning.com, I switched my running log (and loyalties) to a fairly new site called RunningAhead. I LOVE the log there. It feeds my need for instant feedback, and tracks everything that's important to me - mileage on shoes, routes, weight and running effort. Actually, it's got the ability to track far more data than I'd ever need, but I'm glad the potential is there.
One little tidbit on the site that I'm having too much fun with is the shoe "value" calculator. You enter the price you paid for a pair of shoes, and it calculates the cost per mile of running on them. Right now I'm at about $0.45/mile and I guesstimate I've got at least 50-100 miles left in these shoes. Much love for the Mizuno!

Eh...there's other things to write about, but nothing I want to get into just yet.

In other news, two of my favorite people on the planet have birthdays today: [info]edda, and my friend Jim Puckett (up on Phoenix). Happy Birthday, guys!!
